Have you visited Ryerson Woods lately? This 561-acre oasis is in your neighborhood and supports some of the most pristine woodlands, as well as several threatened and endangered species, in Illinois. It offers six miles of scenic trails. It’s always free to park and open year round. Friends of Ryerson Woods is a non-profit organization based at Ryerson Woods in the historic Brushwood home. Our public programming explores the intersection of art and nature through art exhibitions, film screenings, concerts, book discussions, art classes, lectures and much more.
