Knee-High Naturalists Camp
Children 4 years - kindergarten with an adult

A look at locomotion.
Grown-ups, join your preschooler and rediscover the wonder of nature. Fly, crawl, hop, swim and slither...learn how animals move. Hands-on exploration, stories, games and crafts for you and your child to do together.

$19 ($27 non-residents) per additional child (limit 2 children per adult)

Young Naturalists Camp

Whether it's feathers, fur, fins, scales or skin, they all help animals survive. Discover the importance of various animal coverings in field, forest and water through hands-on explorations, games and crafts.

Prehistoric Camp
Children entering grades 2 - 4
July 14 - 18
9:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday
Young archeologists uncover the past from the Paleozoic Era to the Ice Age, digging into prehistoric cultures. Lke a junior geologist, your child will explore Lake County's dynamic shift from shallow seas to mile-high glaciers. And as a pee-wee paleontologist, they'll discover the diversity of plants and animals from teeny trilobites to mega mastodons. Fee includes camp T-shirt.

Eco Adventurers Camp
Children entering grades 3 - 4
June 23 - 27 or
July 21 - 25 or
August 11 - 15
9 am - noon, Monday - Friday
Become a water scientist for a week. Wade through wetlands, ponds, lakes and rivers seeking the plants and animals that call these habitats home.

Adventures in Nature
Children entering grades 5 - 6
July 14 - 18
9:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday
Discover science and nature through adventure activities in Our Adventure Camp. Natural science concepts are paired with outdoor recreation activities to make learning fun. Adventures in Nature includes fishing, swimming, canoeing, sustainable fishing and fish habitats, horseback riding, camouflage, bike rodeo, snakes, hiking and bog ecology. Please bring your own bike and helmet on biking day. Fee includes camp T-shirt.
